This year we are inviting you to join your brothers and sisters in a weekend long celebration of freedom, heritage, and health in the Black Community.

Last year’s celebration of the life of Gerald R. Carter was a huge success and celebratory passing down of this festival to the next generation of black community leaders in our Akron family.

I’m asking you to come together with me; Fela Sutton, Matthew Talley and the honorary planning board of this year’s Juneteenth Festival in a community family festival at Stoner/Hawkins Park this Year.”
