Akron DSA Steering Committee Statement on Russia invasion of Ukraine

The Steering Committee of Akron DSA condemns the invasion of Ukraine by Russia and is firmly opposed to further military action, as we condemn all forms of imperialist expansion and exploitation. We oppose U.S. military intervention in Ukraine and instead, we call for an immediate end to military and economic warfare on all sides. We stand in solidarity with the working classes of Ukraine and Russia. We recognize that poor, working people will always pay the greatest price in any war, and we demand the acceptance of all refugees regardless of nationality or origin. We also echo the sentiments of the NPC and of our national platform calling for the withdrawal of the United States from NATO.
